Small business organization is not for the faint of heart! Just starting and sustaining a small business places a person in an elite group. In fact, people who embrace small business organization via systematization are truly “rare birds”.
About 13% of people in the U.S. own a business. That doesn’t sound so rare until you dig a little deeper into the data. There are about 28 million small businesses, but 22 million are self-employed owners, with no other employees. That brings the number of businesses having employees down to about 6 million.
In fact, owners who have sustained a business for at least five years, in a brick and mortar location with at least 5 employees, are a very small number.
We all need to thank and support these owners for their service to our nation by providing jobs.
Our Business Supports Small Business Organization
System100™ encourages small business owners to become organized, using a systematic approach. We do this by promoting the removal of business frustrations, by implementing one-system-at-a-time, until business owners gain control of their business. Moreover, we urge business owners to embrace leadership and not retreat in the face of opposition. No one respects and follows a “wimpy boss”.
True Business Success Measured
What is our definition of “true business success?” It is owning a business, whereby the owner can leave the business facility without operations falling apart. Moreover, it’s owning a business that operates with little chaos, delivers service and product on-time, every-time, has a peaceful work environment, and a clean and clutter-free facility.
Owning a business plagued with internal chaos and stress is NOT what I call success! Honestly, I would rather be an employee, than own a business trapped in a continual cycle of confusion. I’ve been there and it’s not a pretty sight! In fact, this is why most people drop out of business ownership.
Over the years, we’ve heard some horrific tales of business disorganization, and we’ve seen owners brought to tears from the stress. Business ownership can be both very painful and very rewarding. However, in most cases the pain comes from NOT making the “decision” to change; from “business as usual” to a systemic approach to business organization.
There is a system to measure business success, other than just the bottom line in a Profit & Loss report. A tool called CAPA – Corrective Action / Preventive Action is a system for measuring waste, chaos and employee conformance. More importantly, this system when used correctly invites a culture of order, removing stress systematically, whereby peace can reign.
System100™ refers to this tool as the System Buster Locator the cure for chaos!
A Road Less Traveled to Small Business Organization
From our vantage point, we see only one way, one road to TRUE business ownership success.
Small Business Organization through systematization and continual improvement is the road!
However, once on that road, the lack of traffic surprises many. Note: those not enticed by shortcuts, or taking unnecessary detours, will find true business success, on a road less traveled, call “Via Systems”.
Did I mention? Great systems work!
